lol, MP limited is bound to show up in this thread:D, I can sense that people are going to argue how these two are either the same or completely different again. At least from the appearance, these two rackets looks almost the same, but performance wise.......No idea. I'm getting a MP limited sometimes next week and I'll try to compare it to a friend's MP99 in a side to side comparison.

MP99 are still available in HK for $880, so better get them when they're still around.

The MP Limited plays very similar to the MP99, but at a even better price : )

How would the NS 9000 Type X be like in comparison to the feel and play of the MP99?

the nanospeed will not feel very same compared to te mp a all. the mp has a very solid and more head heavy feel. the ns9k is relatively head light, and sometimes its harder to generate power.

IMO, the Arc10 will be pretty close in terms of feel and performance. Both are even balanced rackets..... except that the Arc10 is certainly more maneuverable and durable.

P, I actually feel that MP99 and AS10 feel and perform quite differently, although I could agree that AS10 might be more maneuverable and durable. The frame and shaft of both racquets play quite different to me. The "metallic" feel off the AS10 is not certainly present in the MP99 or most other Yonexes.

Hmmm..... so which Yonex racket (in your opinion) that is currently in production performs closely to the MP 99?

I have not played all the current Yonex racquets to commend on that. My guess is that there is none that plays like MP99, so the best choice for someone like goldieandsilvie is to get a few back ups of MP99 or else move on to try something else and factor in the breaking in and adjustment period.

I actually have not played much in the last 18 months since Sealman and Mongoose all turned pro, but I did buy an AS10 recently (Sealman went to watch a match I played-first outing with the AS10-i think he was hoping to see me get hantam). PM for a game any time?

That's true. Each and every badminton racket model differs from each other no matter what.

Ok, will do. I am still in contact with some people like Julius, Yuhdi, Byron, Budi and Dewa. I will try to see if I can arrange something. ;)

Mongoose and Sealman turned pro?
Now when did that happen? :p

i think that the carbonex series raquets will play like the oval equivalent of the ms series. for the MP99 replaceent, try to find a cab20ms, cab21, or cab30ms. the carbonex 30 muscle should play similarly to the MP99

i actually found w16 similar in play to the mp99, just that w16 is a lot more solid and provides more control for me.

I second that. 1 additional point. Cab30ms give you better feedback but a little harder to use than MP99 due to the oval head.
