Hi guys, could you post your ARC10 balance point? -factory original if possible, -and after strung and re-grip thanks I've been modifying mine, but forgot to check the original balance point with original grip and without the string. my ARC10 3UG5 mods: -took off original grip and shaved off 2 grams of the wooden handle -1 layer of 3M electrical tape over the wood and -1 layer of Hi-Qua titanium grip -strung with red NBG98 @28lbs one piece stringing total weight: 92.5g balance point 320mm??? i read somewhere that the "very" head heavy AT700 is at 300-310mm so i feel mine is too head heavy then, what do you guys think?
Hehe..ur hand is so small man.5U,n u still shaved off the handle?Waw..u really r seeking for power huh? 320mm is indeed abit too much. But as long as u like it n u don't feel heavy, then it's should be good.
Woah. 320mm. Does it feel really really had heavy? my friend's Arc10 has a bp of 310mm. Although its suppose to be head heavy, the arc10 doesnt feel as head heavy as my 300mm bp at700.
That what I was thinking too, for me G5 is just nice. I couldn't imagine if you shave more. I think by replacing the original grip will be enough. moreover are you sure 92.5g? I thought 3U come with 85-90g. Mine bp after grip and string is 300mm
i prefer smaller handle, so shaved it off and 92.5 is total weight after the mods plus string, 3M base tape and re-grip my ARC10 felt 'head lighter' compared to my modified at900t (bp 305mm) i think 3U 85-90g is the original factory setting??? just including the original grip, isn't it? how about your ARC10 total weight?
I gave my Arc10 to my brother before he left for his studies. I dont recall the weight. However, it has a bp of 295 - 300mm.
------------------------------------------------------- I agree because it could compromise the structural integrity of the handle. Since the wood is hollow because the hole is drilled inside it, adjust the weight, the wood is a certain thickness for this reason, dependent on the grip size.
1 stupid question. From where do you measure the balance point: from the head down from the handle up I`m pretty sure its the second but not 100%
The original ARC10 with BG80 has a BP of 292+/-2 mm. After took off the grip and use a single Wilson pro overgrip, it's BP became 310mm. Didn't test the weight. However, I prefer 2U arc10 after all modding I could do to the 3u one.
1 question here ... how to determine the balance point ??? how u guys know it's how many mm and after grip will raise til how many mm
you use a rule and on the edge of the rule place the racket on it till both sides are balanced. Then measure from the base of the handle to the location where it was balanced and that will give you the balance point of the racket.
owh...mean meansure from down of the racket to the point tat it balanced? so the value more mean it will be more head heavy?
