How can you tell when you need to replace your racquet strings even if they have not broken/snapped yet?

If you notice a big difference in the tension of the string, like it has lost a lot of tension. You can usually tell if your hits are not as strong as before.

Is there a way to tell by just touching/pulling/feeling it?

Id go with what Marshmallow said. Generally, you can just hit around and compare the tension presently to when you got it freshly strung. Only you know what still works for you.

yes, if you can pull the string sideways easily and it won't snap back instantly, it's time to change your string. That's how i usually tell.

if the intersections of strings are fraying, then its a sign the strings will break soon.

if after a lot of pla you see the strings are not linear and the mesh is jumbled than its definnitely time to change the strings

It doesn't mean that you have too change the string because it isn't linear. Slicing mainly causes this problem so just pull the string back so it is straight
