I think this Sunday 29Jun is definitely full-house. Just got a call from a couple wishing to join in. Thanks to all who showed interest.

I'll be bringing along a new tube of Aeroplane Black label shuttlecocks in addition to the existing Chao Pai Special (Red) pieces.

Perhaps you can join the all-levels group at Chong Pang CC on Tuesdays 7:30~9:30pm since you are located in Yishun. My group plays on Sundays 5~8pm around Thomson or Toa Payoh CCs.

In total we had 12 players of which 8 are regulars + 4 from BC.

We gave up an extra court (6-7pm) as there was an unexpected case of double booking which the CC have got themselves into. A large group of 12ppl (mostly women & children) managed to manually block book both courts for all Sundays 5-7pm from now till end of December 2008, with the exception of next Sunday which we have already booked ahead of time.

Which brings us to this question: How does one manage to block book so as to block off we PA members from playing that particular timing? Sounds unfair to general members. I'm thinking of lodging a complaint

but I need some feedback from you guys.

Sun 06Jul at Thomson CC (5-8pm ct2) plus (6-7pm ct1): Will probably be full-house with 8~10 regulars + 2~4 BC. We're open for 2 more, preferably int/adv who dont mind playing wif low int but can inspire & make us Go4it.

The public wont be able to play at Thomson CC on Sundays 5-7pm period for the rest of this year as SOKA have block-booked both courts for Badminton for Kids sessions till Dec2008.

I've just come to Singapore a few months. I really want to find somewhere to play badminton. I live at Novena. My level is intermediate. I can play anyday. May I have some advices from you all?

We can accommodate up to 16-18 players since we have 2 courts for this round. Expecting 9 regulars + 6 guests to turn up. May take in another 3 players. We may have only 5 female players for this coming Sunday and dont mind welcoming more to join in.

Your profile says you live at Novena, so I assume you know where Novena MRT station is. From there you can take the South bound train to Newton. Cairnhill CC is just behind the station exit point (near Newton Circus Food Centre).

Since Wocdam can speak a little Thai, he's probably able to connect with you. He's driving so he can pick you up at your place and both of you can reach Cairnhill CC together. Pls contact me at 90600699 or PM Wocdam directly with your number.
