where is thomas/uber cup 2010 going be held?

    BWF initally tried to separate the Thomas Cup and Uber Cup apart...

    but they can not find anybody who is willing to held uber cup yet....

    so there is a chance somebody jump out and claim the uber cup game, or MAS will most likely get both for free.

    It's reported in the malay press & Sin Chew that China & Korea have bidded to host 2010 Uber Cup. The plan is TC & Uber will be held on different dates in different countries in 2010.

    I talked with a BWF official several days ago... with a 95% chance of happening, KL will get the Thomas Cup... As for the separation of Uber Cup plan... that is not working out too well because the interest in it is quite low... :eek: So, yes, you're right most likely Kuala Lumpur will get both! ;)

    Not sure where I read this, may be is Nanyang or SinChew sports section yesterday. It stated will be in Malaysia but both event will be held the same time like the old format, not separate date as proposed earlier. Can someone confirm this?

    know that some entities in india are keen to bid for the TC & UC's.

    though by the way the challenger last Dec and the indian open this april were organised, its wishful thinking on the BAI's part..

    The Thomas/Uber Cup will be in Kuala Lumpur in 2010. Initially they want to do the Thomas Cup in KL and Uber Cup in Ipoh ( Another State ). But end of the day i think we will be doing both at the Same venue.

    But i read from Oriental Daily newspaper, it said one will be held in Sarawak and another one will be held in Johor

    the fact is few interest in hosting Uber cup....very sad..
    So both will be held in Malaysia ( not official words yet)
