Could anyone decipher this banner for the rest of us?
I'm especially curious as to why the man looks so dejected.
(The occasion is the INA ENG QF 2nd MS - Taufik Hidayat Vs Rajiv Ouseph)

    pemain simpanan means "reserve player"
    TOMIS == Tomi sugiarto
T - Thomas means thomas cup
    o - omong-omong means "people say"
M - milik means "belongs to"
    i - Indonesia
    S - semoga = ya means "we hope..yes"

the man holding the banner was trying to say : (correct me if i'm mistaken)
tomis (tomi sugiarto) is our reserve player, "thomas cup belongs to indonesia , we hope...it's yes"

Gosh  ...and I thought it was something like 'Thomas is milking Indonesia'.

From his glum expression, I thought he was protesting against some commercial aspect of the Thomas Cup tournament

    Thanks, taufik-ist :)

This guy approached me at the hotel lobby and he thought I am a TC player  We had a small chat. He is from INA but stationed in KL, running his own biz. He was spotted in JB (ABC tourney) and JKT (TC/UC). I think he is INA No.1 fan :p

He's the head cheerleader for INA supporters in Malaysia. Been in Malaysia for quite a while already.

Has a good "working" relationship with our own head cheerleader.

Wow so much story of this guy.
I thought he was little bit extreme/unique/weird dunno any other word.

During final Thomas cup, he supported korean team to win.
He was also make a very funny joke by holding Canada flag while Thomas final.

guess he was looking glum because after INA's performances in the opening rounds, he didn't have too much hope for them to beat KOR.

or perhaps it's because his favourite player, TOMIS, didn't get a chance to shine.

PBSI did the right thing by not taking any team lightly... sending Tommy Sugiarto to play MS3 instead of Simon would have been a disaster...

i think PBSI should have tried Tomy when we played Germany TC... he wouldn't have endangered the team though he might have lost to ms3 of GER :D

perhaps they could have let him play against germany, i think that would have been pretty safe.

too late to speculate now, never mind, his time will come.

ah, by the time they played ENG, it was already knock out stages, i don't think it would have ever gone to MS3. no matter how you look at it, INA would definitely have won either 3-0 or 3-1.
