Would be great to see him winning the olympics and I'm certainly cheering for him...but I don't think that he can compete with LD, LCW, BCL etc. anymore. He showed an impressive game against PSH, but that's it. Would love to see him proving me wrong^^

on current form, it's hard to see anyone except LD or LCW winning it.
i'd say it's 80% for one of those 2 to get the gold, and 20% spread amongst BCL, CJ, LHI, PSH, TH and PG.

sony has a shot, i don't think boonsak will get very far.
his performances recently have failed to inspire.

Agreed that at the moment PG is in a class below LCW and LD.
However, given time PG can still climb up. I do hope to see some surprises from him in OG.

He will win the titel, trust me.
If he want to win, he will.
If he is inspired he will winn it.
From what i have heard will he retier after the olympics, i think this make's him even more deger too take the titel.
    what do you think?

although i would love him to win, i don't think it is that simple..
moreover it could be also the last OG for Taufik and even Lin Dan (next one he'll be 29 which is old for a chinese player) so Peter is not the only one who will want the title badly.
I see Peter doing great matches, but not taking it in the end

at this rate and form, i'd say a respectable finishing place of last 16 or even quarters is good for Gade in the OG...

No. Pete is not in tournament form. In fact, far from it.
I watched his SO semi-match match. I found that his left hand is wrapped with bandage. Also, his footwork moving to the back/rear court is kind of awkward. I don't know how to explain it, you have to see it yourself.

    Ohh Gade,
Good player I hope he could won Gold though..
Althought I think LCW is my nominee for Gold..
For LD, it seems he's not in mood somehow.. As you see at Thomas Cup

PG is not in contention for the Olympics - he was floundering in the 2nd game against LCW. Between now and the Olympics, he needs to do a lot of work and I don't think he should risk injury. So he is no longer in my calculation for the Olympics.

Given his experience and court-craft (and reasonably high level of fitness), there's every reason to expect Peter Gade to reach at least the semi-final stage at the Olympics :)

Don't write off the Danish master.
    Not yet, at least.

By the way, this will be his third Olympics.
    Same for Taufik Hidayat.
