When I use manual mode, I set the ISO, shutterspeed, aperture. I also use RAW mode all the time. So no need for a software hack
but what camera are you using? this is for like cheaper cameras which arnt supposed to be that flexible =D so its like using a cheap powershot, which shouldnt be able to take raws and allowing it to do so
