This was my first trip to California ever. I had posted in one of my posts before leaving to LA, stating that I will be in California for the long week-end. Sit Dinkalot happened to see the post and send me an email welcoming me to Calif and inviting me to play some badminton there. At that moment I knew there was a reason why I hang out in this forum. It was really nice of Sir Dinkalot to extend that warm welcome to me to play badminton in LA. Although I did not get time to meet him or play badminton:crying:, I was really exulted with his gesture. All sorts of props to Sir "PANDA" Dinkalot................. Thanks buddy. Next time I am in LA, I will most definitely come play badminton with you. Here are some pictures..
^^Hmm..^^ ...malayali, i might've missed your original post (or i might've caught your separate post)--sorry..But yeah, looking fw to meet & be playing some baddy with you the next time your in town!-Do let us know ahead of time if you're planning to come back to L.A, again...Hope you enjoyed your trip to L.A.!
I wish there was some bad things I could say about LA, but alas I don't have any!!! But I do have to say that the weather was kind of weird!! Coming from Dallas, where it was close to 92 degrees, I was under the impression that California weather would be nice. It is my fault, I should have checked the weather channel before leaving. It was in the upper 50's when we got to LA and we went there with lots of shorts & thin t-shirts, totally not prepared for winter weather. Golly, it was cold!!!!brrrr. Finally, by the time it was time for us to leave on Monday, the weather got better. But, it was a very nice trip, we got visit the Universal Studios and had a nice drive on the PCH. Next time in LA, I am playing badminton for sure; this time, I couldn't convince my wife to let me go play badminton. Thanks Chris for the invitation. I will take a rain check on this one....
I think we are missing each other by a week, right?? darn. It would have been so much to meet all you guys. We should have a BC gathering in Calif sometime this year. I will fly out there for a week-end of badminton and exciting oppurtunity to meet you guys....
Yep, I'm picking PeteLSD up in about 4 hours... ...SilentHeart will be here in about 36 hours... ...Polar Bear (aka VTec101) and SCChang will be here at SGVBC tonight. Hopefully Howard Bach can make it too... ...we're gonna have fun... ...dinking!
Here are a few more and a little trivia question for you guys too. 1. The first picture was taken because i found it intriguing because of the name on the billboard and the name associated with it "Masthi Malone's Icecream". I cant read Arabic, so dont know whats written along with it. This was taken from the famous Sunset Blvd. 2 & 3. These are original sets from a very famous movie, can you tell me, which one??? It is a pretty old movie. 4 & 5. Again, these are original sets from a very famous movie, can you tell me, which one??? It is a recent movie.
In the 2000's is still recent. I was trying to compare it to the other movie, tied to the other 2 pictures. It was a very scary back in the day and even today some people think it is a very scary movie. It is an Alfred Hitchcock movie.
hopefully it'll universal studios will have similar or bigger stuff in singapore sentosa island. yippee...
