Thread: My commuter bike

I don't know which one is more impressive: this one or the four storey parking in the above . This is near the Utrecht Central station which is the main train hub in Holland.
"Uploaded by markenlei on 11 Jan 2009In a country with more bikes than people, parking your bicycle at a popular destination such as train stations can be a problem. The bigger the station the bigger the problem. Around this station there are a number of indoor guarded parking facilities with space for thousands of bikes. Still the street closest to the station looks like this.
Taken on a Thursday afternoon at about 2:30 (14:30)."

Uploaded by markenlei on Apr 25, 2011Local authorities in the Netherlands face a constant challenge: where is the space to place racks to park all the bicycles Dutch cyclists bring into the centers of cities and towns. The number of parked bikes in the center of the city of Utrecht is amazing. Racks are placed everywhere to keep the bicycles from cluttering the streets but still no post or rail is unused. There are never enough parking spaces.

The route I have to cover to the Dutch Open venue (well the way back from it in this instance and with bad luck, the same weather conditions; distance wise comparable to about the first 3 and a bit minutes which also happens to be in this vid the location of the dedicated badminton hall for one of the biggest clubs of the country; indicated in the vid by "schools (right)")motion sickness warning . Wish the half speed option was available there . Maybe I'll do one myself
City's dedicated bycyle infrastructure in general:

An interesting ride at FFW speed. There were some scary moments there at some intersections.
(and was was a moving truck in the middle of the bike path?)
Reminds me that I have to get my much ignored 'mistress' out of the shed and start commuting again.

I was gonna ask why most bikes look alike and saw it answered.
The bike parking situation there is terrible! How do you even remember where you parked? I thought China has the most bikes but I had never seen anything like that there.
Coincidentally I just got a bike locker key and I'll biking to work. Maybe one day I'll get a head mounted camera and do some videos.
Wow terrible terrible wind!
