http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080604/bs_afp/franceluxurypiracytrialusebay Hope Ebay learn a lesson and start putting on control on selling badminton racquets. We will start feeling safe from buying from ebay.
Someone should call Yonex to sue. There should be no problem finding counterfeit racquets there. ha ha.
1) Someone already did and Yonex already knew. 2) Yonex know that the consistant quality will win for the better player. 3) When perfoemance matter, people will buy real one. When looks matter, people will buy fake one. So which one you want to be? 4) In the long run, a real racquet (YY, Sotx, MMOA and other namebrand) will cost you less than a fake one because you always wonder how does a real one plays.
BCers know some racquets in Ebay are faked because there are experts like bluejeff to give advice. But I believe majority may not know they are faked and ended up thinking Yonex racquets have lousy quality and hurting Yonex's reputation. Not sure if Yonex cares about that.
Well remember, the user needs to some research to ensure what they are getting is legit. If a product is too good to be true then don't go for it. Really need to look and don't rush.
who cares. i can't buy real rackets cuz i can't afford them. i bouth one fake yonex on ebay and lasted my over a year now and love it. original string still good. really doesn't matter to me if they get sued or not. if you have the money to get the real ones from the manufacture then why worry of getting fakes since it's obvious if it's fake or not. i already mine was fake since it was $45USD compared to the $228USD.
This is exactly how fakes spread out... If you can't afford Yonex top end, why can't you go with a lower-mid end model or get from a lesser known brand (Winex, SOTX, Yangyang, Apacs, BK, Carlton, Wilson, etc), which also carries good reputation? Many of the list brands offer models in $50-70 range, which are well made and have a legit business behind it to offer good and reliable services. Yes, everyone wants to save $$$, but everyone should take responsibility to stop crime as well. Think twice, invest the same amount of $$$ into legit business and support legit brand.
100% agreed. Just like if I can't afford a movie dvd, then buy the illegal copies. It's not right that Yonex spending millions of dollars doing research and these faked racquet makers taking advantage of others' effort.
i should of been arrested by now then. i know what you mean. if i owned yonex i would want everyone to buy real yonex too. i'm just enjoying my racket. theres no local badminton stores in my area or in MN. plus mine probably plays better than the lower end ones.
If you don't look, you can not find. Also, If you do not try, how do you know the mod range is worse than then fake? PM me if you want to find Yonex dealer in MN.
