Hi guys, its me again, but this time the racket isn't for me.

My doubles partner is looking for a back up to his AT 900 Technique, but he doesn't want the same racket as he likes to try new things, so he's been looking into the above rackets lately. He has also looked into the nanospeed 9000s, and the arcsaber 10, however those are more expensive. Any suggestions are appreciated, however please keep them within yonex or SOTX, as most other brands are harder to obtain for him

    His style is:
    Offensive
    Average Defense
    Smasher
    Good at the net
He also plays singles, but a lot less than we play doubles together, so if you guys could help out with the selection for him, that'd be great

    thanks!

The MP100, MP99 and Ti-10 are all good rackets if you can find them. You should also try SOTX woven 7.

Overall, this 'playing style' doesn't seem to recommend the Yonex AT-900T.
However, since he is already using the racquet, we'll let that rest.

He might love the the Nanospeed 500 - it's light, new and deceptively powerful. A notch higher on the scale would be the awesome Ti-10.

Nevertheless, my best recommendation is to get another AT-900T :)

haha, him and i love to try new stuff, and since the newest racket amongst us is the 900T, i let him use it, and he likes it a lot, so i listed that as his racket, his racket is actually the 900P. Mine is the T. haha, I've been doing research lately, and ive come up with the mp 99 and 100 and ti 10, as i know theyre all awesome, but he has limited amount of money to get a backup racket. (As in he can only get one)

So Oldhand, he should go buy his own T instead of use mine huh xD.

you are in Canada try Apacs http://www.apacscanada.com he might like them, cheap price with performances similar to Yonex. After all it only a back up :D you can get 3 Apacs for one of those Yonex Arcsaber, more choices for you.

the 99 is far unlike the 900t and i've heard that the 100 is even harder to use. of course, since you mention that he likes to try new things, i think the 99 might be the best bet. i haven't 'played with the ti10 so i can't comment on that unfortunately.

Ti 10 if he plays singles, MP100 if he plays mix, MP99 if he plays All

Can't go wrong with Mp99 BUT be prepared to put in some time to get use to it..
It's best to have a backup racket same as the main one down to the string/tension/grip ..It might sound over kill but you will have a racket that's almost the same as what u r used to when u need one..
at99t is a very good racket.. Me myself find that MP99 is excellent for double..:) Nonething better (in yonex line)
