i didn't watch the game. but i can guess that Camilla's loss is pivotal to the outcome of that particular tie. not only did Denmark lost one point, it boosted the confidence of the HK team and the opposite effect for the Danish team.

what an outcome. now we know that Indonesia and Denmark won't be advancing to the semi finals. they were the favorites to clinch the runner-up position of the cup.

and indeed, Netherlands has risen to be the strongest team in Europe. and furthermore, Yao Jie weren't even competing!

the tie between HK and Netherland will be hard fought, i don't think any team will want to face China in the semi-finals, they will be going all out and both team will be full of confidence as they have emerged as underdogs to beat the two favorites in their group.

i think the strong showing by HK and netherland is good for the sport of badminton. Seeing a stronger HK, netherland, germany, sweden, and india help makes badminton a truly an international sport. Of course, the last country for badminton to prevail is USA :( after canada, iceland, anarctica, papua new guinea :p

I'm feeling a bit dizzy knowing that HK beat Denmark.

Are we going to see the gradual decline of Camilla after her AE win? Two years is a long time to go the Olympics.

Well done to Holland. Hmm, their no.2 singles is a key player.

How interesting. What was supposed to be a showdown between the seeded teams for the UC will end up to be inconsequential.

I had wished for Denmark to beat China. Now the Chinese have proven that they can depend on their singles alone for the title. Korea's chances look even slimmer now.

I can't wait for the tie between Malaysia and Indonesia tonight.
