n I hope INA will have four representatives in semis, except for MD. It's weird since we used to depend on MD to grab at least 1 title in everytourney. N now, the best chance to enter to semifinal is in WS.

Firdasari plays Saina N. The win against Yao Jie should give her confidence going into this match. One to watch out for tomorrow.

SO 2008: Saina could beat Firdasari in Day 4 (Quarter Finals) ???

    .
avataar ... Yes, I would predict that Saina could beat Firdasari in Day 4 (Quarter Finals).

I am thinking that Firdasari is tired now... after her gallant win over Hongyan yesterday.

    3-GAMERS making a third

Day 3 saw the number of rubber games stretching to 14 out of 39 matches, a good one-third or 36%!

The last remaining match of the evening, which started past 9 pm, caught the full attention of the sparse die-hard fans. It was the MD between Malaysia's veterans, Chan Chong Ming and Chew Choon Eng and the younger Indonesian pair of Alvent and Luluk, seeded 5.

The Indonesians took the first game convincely 17-21. But the Malaysians returned the compliments in the second by taking it 21-18.

The thriller had to come in the third and decisive match and the motley but patient crowd were rewarded with an outstanding performance by both teams. A deuce was the fairest outcome but only one team could win.

And it took almost an hour for the Malaysians to confirm their hard fought victory. They almost could not make it as Luluk was fiery in his continuous attacks on Chan who miraculously returned every smash thrown at him until Luluk imploded himself. This thrilled the crowd no end! That vital point gave Chan and Chong a thin margin of 23-21 and a chance to face compatriots, Gan Teik Chai and Lin Woon Fui in today's QF.

Who would you choose to win? ;) The outcome matters to the players, but Malaysia will certainly have one more assured MD place in the SF tomorrow, the other certainty will be decided between Zakry and Tazari against Khoo Chung Chiat and Tan Bin Shen. Good Luck! :D

    Dear Loh,

I think you must have watched too many matches till you mixed them all up!

The last match was between Guo Zhendong / Xie Zhongbo and Muhammad Ahsan / Bona Septano. :D
