Coach Ma of Derrick club only teaches members (Club policy) and already has maximum number of sponsors (like 5 I think). Also, Glenora Club is way too far and unconvinient for me. I do not want a camp! I want actual lessons (beginner).

Do you drive? You might wanna get in touch with Allan Thom who used to run the GMCC badminton team in downtown. Also look into your local community center for more information. EDBA affiliated clubs might also run programs for kids and beginner adults.

Sucks to be a badder in Edmonton, but if you look hard enough you might be able to find someone who could help you out.

Alan Thom ran Capitol Academy (teenagers and adults) this year. It is done for the season. There is probably going to be another one this september. I am currently a Level 1 coach-in-training and under him(and at the same time doing some player training myself). Therefore, I can try to teach you the footwork and strokes at most.
