I search ebay and found something that was weird. I never knew that yonex had AS60 shuttlecocks Now we can confirm fake shuttlecocks do exist. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/new-4-tube-y...yZ155145QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
maybe it is limited edition for Chn only............. question; how can we differentiate between real and fake?
I think if were able to physically compare the feathers quality and shape then maybe we might be able to tell the difference.
I just bought Yonex AS5 from this shop. It is cheaper by $3 than other shops, so i thought wow what a good deal. I think it is fake, the sticker on the AS5 shuttlecock looks faded. Any of you know if there are fake AS5s??
I have never seen Fake AS5, but i have seen Fake AS30 before. It is selling at some minimart in bishan at SGD$9.90 per tube. The sticker on the shuttle looks faded, shuttle is light. Sorry, did not manage to take pics of the shuttle as shop owner was staring at me. Managed to get pics of the tube only. These pics are taken under pressure, so pls make do with the photo quality.
Again, it is more likely for beginners or recreational players to purchase these fake products instead of the real version. Most of us here would be able to tell that they are fake, straight away from the price. How much does a tube of AS30's cost in Singapore ? They're around 35NZD here in NewZealand.
These are more appropriately called counterfeit Yonex shuttles. They are produced in China and the quality is horrible. If you happen to get these shuttles pls tell your fellow players what they truly are-counterfeits-otherwise they will think you are cheating or short-changing them.
Hey, look im been playing badminton for years. Here it cost $22 for the real AS5 and the fake one that i bought cost $20. This shop sells things generally cheaper, so i thought it would be real and it was a discount. The tube and everything looks the same, only when you open it, you realise that the AS5 sticker is faded.
fake seller is now using reverse psychology and making way more money than before from just selling fakes the normal way. If ur goal is just to save money, go play plastic shuttles, at least with plastic, it does last very long.
The AS might be real, since those are very very old shuttles. does it fly the same, with the same durability?
I think if the feathers are left in moister longer the durability decreases due to the feathers softening.
A couple of days ago I bought those exact same AS60s from the same seller from ebay and I paid 40USD including shipping. Still waiting for the shipment to arrive. I will let you guys know how those fare and if they are fake or not... most probably they are fake but I still wanted to try. Thanks.
lol i saw those a while back, but i couldn't log onto bc to tell people about it...i was beginning to wonder about those
