MP50 at National Sports Centre..
I phoned yesterday to National Sports Centre and asked if they carried the MP55. The guy checked and he only found MP50. The MP50 retailed for $60 in change. Is that the real MP50 or 55? Quite inexpensive considering most retailers sell it for just over $100.

There are MP55 at Edmonton Sportcheck stores, list price $139, on sale for $99. Yonex offered for $88 including GST at the recent local tourney.

Did you ask if it was Yonex? I don't think that's actually mp-55... national wouldn't import from Japan... (MP-50) and if they did it would cost way more. What's their number...?

MP-55 in Edmonton
When I went to the Sportchek in West Ed last time they were out of MP-55. Calgary Trail had 2 or 3. And the $99.99 price is without stringing. Stringing cost at SportChek would cost a further 25 or so dollars. Sportchek's wilson hyper carbon 5.0 is not a bad value at $99.99 also. It comes with factory-strung strings. Also, at $99.99 is the Techno Pro Ti-1700. This is pretty cheap considering that it is Techno's highest end titanium racquet, in fact their highest end racquet overall but I have heard it is too heavy and quality can't match other major brands.

The...
The National Sports in Scarborough. I asked if he carried MP55. He replied, "I'll go and check." He came back and told me, " I don't have the MP55 but I have MP50." "Retails for $60 something." I was surprised and will go in person to check the racquet out.

MP-55 is a very good racquet and cheap too for it's quality. Powerful and good control. Head heavy may take some time to get used. Don't get it strung at sport chek.. I heard their stringing sux and 25 bucks is a lot for stringing.. well depending on what string I suppose......

Nah, I haven't gotten a new racquet yet. The MP-55 is one of my potential choices. I'm still looking around. I still have to see what deals Sweet Spot has for their racquets........
