*Realistically, INA hope to bag medal only through badminton and weighlifting. All the best for Merah Putih squad!

From Media Indonesia.com (July 22,2008) -- INA's flag-bearer candidates are Suryo Agung Wibowo, Vita Marissa, Lilyana Natsir but still open for other athletes. Two criterias for those names are their achievement and performance.

Yup, it's true that Oka Sulaksana was chosen through voting as INA flag-bearer for Beijing Olympics yesterday. Maybe Beijing Games is the last Olympics for Oka.

INA achievement at 29th Beijing Olympics 2008 :
    1 gold : badminton Men's Doubles
1 silver : badminton Mixed Doubles
    3 bronzes : badminton Women's Singles ; weightlifting Men's 56kg & 62kg.

This result is better than Athens 2004 when INA contingent had brought 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. Badminton and weightlifting still become medal contributor for INA.

Meanwhile, Thailand boxers Somjit Jongjohor and Manus Boonjumnong have increased their country's medal tally by 1 gold and 1 silver.

That means, Thailand has got 2 gold and 2 silver, and Indonesia is the best achiever amongst ASEAN countries no more.
