Does different colour strings effect the way you play?
I dont know what to say...
I've never actually paid attention to the colour of my strings when I play. Have you guys?

Its normally a preference or to match the racquets i think.

My favorite sting colour is natural white. I feel very comfortable with it. I've never played with other colour in my badmintoncarrer beside neon which i hated the most.
But i've seen red string on an ARCSABER 10 that's really looks very powerful.

Just like underwear. Guys usually prefer theirs white because it is simple and tell it is clean. For the girls, they pick the color that looks GOOD!

i use white but that's because they come cheaper (in reels). I personally prefer colorful strings.

Colour depends on personal preference. Also for NBG98 there is a difference between the feel of gold compared to yellow and red.

Would there be any psycological difference. In football for example players in red kits tend to win more often, scientists think it's because red is associated with blood and goes back to our hunter gatherer days. Just an idea from a non technical point of view.

I once saw this girl playing with a yellow fluorescent racket with pink fluorescent string. Talk about colour choice.

Umm no... But some very successful UK football teams do
The worst combination of stringing and racket I've seen was a very bright silver (which was also very reflective) Browning racket with flourescent green string!
It wasn't very distracting to play against though despite this.

In football, it's usually attributed to red being the easiest colour for being able to pick out a team-mate for a pass. That may work a little in reverse here with regard to what players are wearing, since it's more important in badminton to be able to track the movement of an opponent.
But I can't see any benefit to changing string colour. I would guess that the natural colour of the string would be the most durable option. The colouring would just be an unnecessary additive.
Yes yes I know ... I'm a man.

Definitely. I've always ordered strings in different colours to see what the difference is. For example, my current favourite string is BG66. I strung them on identical rackets at to see how they feel.
These are all SP versions and I'll summarize what I've noticed.
White - Nothing special but like an average of all the following colours attributes. Not the smoothest nor the most texture. Same with tension holding.
Silver - Breaks fast and the shiny coat comes off easy during stringing --- especially when tying the knots.
Gold - Has the roughest texture. Holds tension well. In fact it holds almost as well as BG80 white at 28lbs
Yellow - Has a smooth, almost slick texture with something that comes off on the fingers that feels like waxy silicone spray. Tension drops the fastest.
The thickness also varies. The yellow packs I got looked thicker than any of the other colours. In fact, it looks just slightly thinner than yellow BG6 which is thicker than BG66 despite being listed as 0.66mm.
