These are all SP versions and I'll summarize what I've noticed.

White - Nothing special but like an average of all the following colours attributes. Not the smoothest nor the most texture. Same with tension holding.
Silver - Breaks fast and the shiny coat comes off easy during stringing --- especially when tying the knots.
Gold - Has the roughest texture. Holds tension well. In fact it holds almost as well as BG80 white at 28lbs
Yellow - Has a smooth, almost slick texture with something that comes off on the fingers that feels like waxy silicone spray. Tension drops the fastest.

The thickness also varies. The yellow packs I got looked thicker than any of the other colours. In fact, it looks just slightly thinner than yellow BG6 which is thicker than BG66 despite being listed as 0.66mm.
Arr, I love digging up old stuff.

I strung up 4 rackets 3 weeks ago. 2 BG66 gold, 2 BG66 silver on of each type on 2 pairs of identical rackets at 29x31 2PTD. The silver is now noticeably softer than the gold. I'd be interesting if someone with textile and dyes credentials can shed some concrete info on this.

I like white as it goes with my AT900T...

tho this may be wrong a coach at county training said white is the best colour to choose as when you have coloured strings its easier for opponents to see what your doing with the shuttle ie slice. ....... but i dont like this particular coach and ignore him and use black or purple , but it would be interesting to experiment with colours

It doesn't really help if you want to hide your shots because the racket will give away which shot you are doing.

The dyes will affect string performance just a bit...but in general, it's a preference thing.
