    guys,

does a particular brand/model racket must always be string the way it is recommended by the manufacturer? can one choose to string another way? is it advisable? for example yonex nanospeed?

what about racket that the manufacturer did not mention how it should be string? does that mean one can choose to string whatever way to one liking?

    another question,

I have read from here that if one choose bg80, need to -2lb from whichever tension one want to achieve. and for other string one need to +2lb so that after 2/3 week of play the tension will be what one wanted. so do I need to take the 2/3 week of play where the tension will drop into consideration if I choose to string with bg80?

    thanks.

To answer your question no you don't have to follow the manufacturer's stringing technique. BG80/BG85 need to be strung 2lbs lower to get the same performance as other strings.

1st question: Is your call man, choose what ever you want.

2nd question: BG80/B66 needs to be strung normally at 2lbs under thicker string ex bg65.
At that tension you don't need to wait until 2 weeks.

BG66 can be strung at the same tension as BG65 to get the same effect. Only BG80 and BG85 need to be strung 2lbs under normal tension to get the same effect as BG65
