K after a long and intensive search I have concluded that the AT900T 3U will be my new racket.

Now I need advice on stringing it.

    about me:
    I'm a defensive/counter attack based player.
    I play long rally's
I like to be a wall and finish the games on the opp mistakes.
    easy midfield/net smashes.
my current AT500 is strung up at 22lbs or so... with a yellow unknown string type...
my smashes from the back often lack power (maybe because of my total lack of arm muscle)

    about feelings:
I like to feel a shuttle hitting my racket, and like the bang sound while smashing.

    about knowledge:
I know very little about strings.
I got advice out of Ants review to use thin strings and if you would use thick strings to keep the tension high. Why I have no idea...

    so I need:
    type of strings
    tension

Do your strings feel too loose? Too bouncy? If so, then I suggest BG80 at 24lbs

If they're feeling fine, BG80 at 22lbs should be good.

BG80 is powerful, very grippy so good control, and gives a good BANG with good feel.

the string feel a bit loose and I think it's a good idea to get them strung up to 24lbs.

isn't the BG 80 a thick string (0,68mm), and shouldn't I go for a higher tension with those following Ants review?

I never heard of the Yonex NanoGy 68 string ants mentioned in his review!?

In all case thanx for the fast usefull reply

It's fine. Just use which will be comfortable. If you were at 22lbs, going for 26+lbs would be bad for your shoulder and other joints.

NBG68 is actually a typo by ants. Supposed to be NBG98. It's a 0.66mm string which Phandrew will probably recommend, but a lot of people have commented on it's numb feel.

NGB98 is supposed to be more powerful than bg80, but I'm guessing the feel isn't there in the 98...and you're probably looking for more feel than power right?

yeah I prefer the feel, and if I'm not pleased there is one good thing about strings. They are quite easy to replace.

So I think I got my racket, ty all very much!

Aren't we supposed to be stringing BG80/85s at 2lb lower than target. His 24lbs will feel like 26lbs.

Yes that is true but if Haplo strings it 24lbs then that's Haplo's decision.

Yup, I know, I'm just worried because the information was not in the thread when he was deciding on string and tension.
