Which one is better? My SHB99m is about to die and I'll be needing a new pair quite soon...

If you can, get the new version of SHB100-MX because it gives even better grip over the SHB990-M or the older SHB100-MX

Is there a newer version for the SHB100MX? I thought there was only one version for SHB100MX and 2 versions for the SHB100TLD

The sole is different between 99 vs 100. Sorry, my fault.

I say go with the SHB100MX or the new SHB100LTD.

i have to say that the sole on the shb100 is way better and allows you to be more agressive and responsive in your footwork compared to that on the shb99 thats the main difference that is evident with the shoes when i switched over a year ago to the 100.

Also the SHB99 are discontinued and were replaced by SHB100

I'm in the market for a new pair of shoes as well since my 99s seem like they're about to go and I think I might be able to get a pair of 98s but I've read that they're for narrower feet. I have flat/wide feet so I can't decide which ones to get.

If you can find any, the 99LTD feels better for my wide flat feet. For me, the new 91 feels a bit better than the 90 and both of the 100's. No size of the 100 fit comfortably and the 100LTD was even worse because the shape is slightly different. As with any shoe search, the best thing to to is find all the shoes within your budget and try them on. You may consider some other brands since some are a bit wider than Yonex models.

As a reference, my previous shoe is a 99. I now use a worn 99LTD.
