What is your playing style? There is no such thing as a better racket because it depends on the person's abilities and skill.

I guess i'm all around player.
I usually play drives and drops during most of the games.

I tested out a few brands of badminton racquets, i.e. Victor, Apacs, Masuka, Yonex. Amongst them, I find that Yonex racquets provide a better feel and control. Any thoughts on this?

What is your budget? Do have you have a particular brand you are looking at?

The best way is that you can test out the racquets. This can be done if your friends own the racquets. You can hit it and judge for yourself whether the racket suits you or not.

Feel and control are more affected by string than racket.

I dont have a budget, i don't really mind the price,
but i wouldn't want something that's overpriced and not worth it.
I've been eyeing for a Yonex for quite some time now.

I think SOTX DF900 would be best for you.

You should demo the racquets to know which racquet you feel most comfortable to play with.

jihirata is right, you should always demo a racket before buying (unless you are buying a replacement for your broken AT700 -cries-)

    where in canada are you?

in GVA Tad's offer free demo rackets. i'm not sure what their policy is, but i've seen people demoing rackets

in that case, get to tad's (70th and granville i think) and talk to the owner for 1 or 2 demo rackets.

than get yourself to Yumo, RichmondPro, or any badminton drop in and try them out.

than you will know with better accuracy what racket suits your style, budget etc.

I think you should get an Arcsaber 10. Its looks so Beatiful and it is Yonex's latest racquet.

The latest racket doesn't mean it is the best.

you didn't say that, but he asked for best racket :S

i also support the as10 because he mentioned that he mostly uses drives & drop shots indicating 'defensive' player therefore an offensive racket would not be an option therefore a control based racket would be in preference & according me, arc saber 10 has amazing control.
