Please can someone explain the stages of stringing a badminton racket using the 1 piece method.
If you could write a step by step guide on how to do this, that would be most helpful.

    Thanks all.

Please do let me know if you find a website. I have tried looking but haven't been able to find anything as yet.

    How long?

I am about to attemp 1 piece strining for the first time.

Can anyone let me know what is a good length to start with for someone who has never done this before. I string at 26lbs, but want to make sure that there is plenty of string left for me to tie the knot. I would rather slightly over compensate than to run out of string before I finish.

Obviously, packs come as standar 10m, but I use a reel, so need to know how much I need to cut off.

    Many thanks

    Aaron

depend on the stringing machine you have. Just start with 10m with 5.5m for the main and 4.4m for the cross and you can adjust the length for the next one.

How do I know how much string to use for the very first section?

This being the section from the mains up until the first tie off before I start on the crossovers.

Basically, I start form the middle and work my way out to the edges.
On the left hand side, I tie off but then on the right hand side I begin the cross strings.

How can I work out how much string is required for the left side on the mains until I tie off???

if the length of the string is slightly too short to reach the tensioner for the last main or cross you can use your weighing scales to pull it.

    or better still:
    use a starting clamp
    or start over from scratch
