I was just wondering if these work in Badminton Rackets. The ones which Middle to High End Tennis Rackets have on their strings for shock or something. I am not talking about the office tapes. >_> I am talking about the real thing.

I don't see the point of having one because the gel piece would cover a bit of the string bed. It will only affect a few lines anyway so there is no point.

Well, we need the lovin' feeling of racquet smack down on the shuttle... So, gel grommet is not preferred. If you want to know how if feel with gel grommet, try the Yonex MP21 LT with shockless grommet. You will know what I am talking about...

So does MP29. they are located around the 3 and 9 o'clock areas on the frame.

shockless / no shock = bad.

tennis is a power game, badminton is a control game, i want to "feel" the impact of the shuttle with the string.

I've tried putting a plastic strip on the strings to see the effect. The strings produced absolutely no 'ting' sound at all because of the reduced vibration.

You don't want too much vibration as well.

The best option is to get a grip which provides excellent cushion. The strings will remain its crispness, and the unnecessary vibration will be damped off.
