Zheng Bo/Gao Ling has been knocked out...
HE/YU is not as strong as ZB/GL...

China is not able to clean sweep 5 golds...

Hope Korea will beat them in WD
Hope MAS will beat them in MS

It's definitely possible... just how possible. China still has at least 1 representative in all 5 categories' semi finals or final, so the chance is there.

MS. LD, CJ
MD. Fu/Cai
WS.XXF, LL, ZN
WD. Yu/DU, ZYW/Wei
XD/HE/YU

no other country can do the same thing... so already quite a success for them.

As long as there is chinese player in each of every event, I wouldn't prematurely say China is not able to do a clean sweep. Just less likely for now. I would wait till either their XD or MD sole representative get knock out from the semi before stating the no clean sweep statement. They will have finalist on MD, WD, and WS. China's target was never a 5 gold clean sweep to start with anyway.

What's wrong with setting a high goal for oneself?
Is this standard too high for you to comprehend?

how many gold(s) INA is targeting?
We all know MAL fans were targeting 2 golds

I think 5 is next to impossible. 4 is a great result, 3 would be up to expectations given the team and who is left, and 2 would be below expectations.

LYB will lose his job if they don't at least take 2-3 golds.

If Cai/Fu and LD can take gold then China bags at least 3 probably 4.

I wouldn't count out the He/Du? They are playing well, but I have a sneakly suspicion Lee Yong Dae & partner will surprise this time around.

i agree with that.

and to clarify, China's goal is to "hold 3, aim for 5"

if one don't have high goal to start with, then one will never achieve it.

i still don't understand the hatred/bias that some people have.
