Default Minor issues with 2008 OG badminton

I want to say, NBC has a little more coverage this time around and I am very happy to be able to catch most of the live match over internet.
However, 2 minor issued I want to bring up.
    1) When the match is changed to 3x21, the match time become too short imho. I feel may be 5x21 will be a better format for international match. Often time, tennis match can last more than 2 hr. However, the 2008 MS OG was over in 1/2 hr of TV time.
    2) Because of the continuous play rule, not a lot of commercial time. It might be better to have sponsor logo on the corner of the TV where it does not obstruct the viewing of the game to increase revenue?
Any other comments from other viewer?

I agree that 5X21 should be used instead of 3X21. 3X21 makes the game too short.

The reason for BWF to change from 3X15 old system to 3X21 rally points is to shorten the game.

Hmm, how about 3x25, and a break every 8 pts and its multiplication reached ? And the break beetween sets shouldn't be too short, for better TV advertisings income.

    5 x 21 is way too much.
the players will be way too exhausted if they have to play the next day, i think performances will slip.

but the #1 reason is to have more predictable duration to suit tv programming. With NSS, ~one hour per match is the maximum duration.
With OSS, not to tell how long the match would last

I agree. Duration is much more predictable now.

I have a suggestion.. 3x15.. and only server can score :-)

5x15 rally scoring may be an option as well..

I agree, 3X25, 3X27 or 3X31 is the best IMO. And maybe just higher score for double games while keeping 21 for single.

Yeah, good point, it's the double game, especially MD matches that is so darn quickly played with the NSS.

Badminton's too intense to have the players playing continuously for 2 hours. Unlike tennis where players often spend most of the time standing around, getting ready to serve, and fixing underpants.
