Hey I am an advanced player at university in the UK. I am planning to study abroad Feb 09 - July 09 at deakin university and was wondering if there was anywhere in geelong or the surrounding area to play at a high level? If not is there anywhere in melbourne itself as I may have to move to the burwood campus if there is nowhere in geelong.

    Thanks

That would be the Burwood Campus. Don't worry about not playing because the eastern areas has plenty of places to play.

Ok great, are there places for advanced players? I want to keep playing at least 3 times per week.

I assume you are living at the campus and playing at night so i know there are socials nearby everyday of the week apart from Thursday and Sunday.

    Advanced clubs

    Hi J_Mathers,

If you are an advanced player I would suggest the following clubs in the Eastern suburbs.

Titans Badminton Club (I am involved in the running of this club), for more info see : http://www.titanbadmintonclub.websyte.com.au/

Southern Star Badminton Club in Keysborough.

Note that these clubs do not cater for beginners.

If you are interested in playing at any of these places let me know and I may be able to help you with transport and any further info you are after.
