    Hi There
I really need a new racket as my other one broke it was a Kason Lepton f2 and I thought it was great but it broke quite easily. I was thinking of getting the same one unless you had a different recommendation. This could help:
    . Age = 14
    . Gender = Female
    . Height = 165 approx
    . Weight = 54kg
. Skill level = Competitive junior
. Favourite shots = Smash and high defense clears
. Weakness = Clear to the middle too much.
    . Court Coverage = Average
    . Games Played = 90% singles
    . Frequency = 5-6 times a week
. Reason for purchase = Broke my previous one.
. Objective = Have nice strong clears and control
    . Shape desired = ??
    . Price range = Around $100-$200 NZ
    . Location = NZ
    . Racket weight expected = Around 80g?
. Brand preference = Any that is good
    . Durability = 2-3 years
.Strings used = Yonex BG 65 or 80 at 23-24lb

Hope you can help! And I can also get rackets that are sold in Malaysia or New Zealand. Thanks!:):)

Where abouts in NZ do you reside in ?

You can contact Kent ( ecoolguitarboy ), he's a SOTX distributor in NewZealand. SOTX racquets aren't that well known in NZ yet, but apparently from all the reviews on this forum.. they're worth every penny you pay.

Since you mostly play singles, I suggest you to try out: MP100 or AT700, but they are over-priced here. For around 100~200NZD, you can't really get a decent racquet in NZ. You can however, try ordering a racquet from overseas.

Here are some reliable online shops you may want to visit:
    http://www.wingeebadminton.com
    http://www.puppysports.com
    http://www.luxissportnet.com
    http://www.mybadmintonstore.com

Or maybe you could try ordering a Mizuno Tetracross700 from http://shuttle-house.com, it's on sale ( 40% off ), and you'd hear excellent reviews of it from Twobeer.. I'm hopefully getting one soon or later this year, it's tempting.

PS: ARC10 in NZ costs approx. 330NZD. Even under heavy discounts, it's still out of budget for him.

Your best option is SOTX DF900.

this is the new standard of one own descriptions for asking rackets recommendation.......!!! :)

may consider RSL range. X2 Blue, X2 AP, X2 SP
dump the BG65 idea. pick either BG80 or BG85

as for SOTX, may listen to phandrew. SOTX isnt available in M'sia.

if go for Yonex; Arc Saber 7, At500, Ns8k

RSL X2 Blue may be too stiff for Marcima.

Those strings are very rare in NZ. If they can be found, they'd usually cost around 34NZD. Most shops only offer BG65 and BG65Ti.

You would save quite a bit if you bought from online websites.

Hey thanks for you opinions guys, I think the arc10 seems a bit expensive. So do you think I should completely scrap the idea of getting my old racket? (kason Leptonf2) And I can also get the bg80 strings if they are good for clears. I also like light and flexible rackets of that helps in anyway.

You could try Apacs racket since they are cheap and perform well.

    Rackets again..

Thanks for your suggestions, am still wandering about my Kason Lepton f2. I was looking up yonex nanospeed 6000? What do you think? One of the review I read said that it isnt as easy to generate power from. This might not matter becasue I'm only 14 and I dont need a really really expensive/good racket. But would like the best I can get.

I was 14 when i got my Nanospeed6000. Kept it for quite a bit. The NS6000 is a very reliable racquet, i though it was perfect for control. I would advise the racquet. you just need the right string though. How much was the nS6000 you were looking at?....But after a while i found that it was too flexible for me.

NS6000 isn't worth it for the money. MP66 or MP88 are much better options since the are cheaper and perform the same or better than NS6000.

If you like the style of kason. I think 105TI is the best choice. because of its balance, cheap, classic and easy to control. Or you can buy one of the Yonex such as Nanospeed serial.
