Head protector is more for protection, while LD is someone that doesn't really need that.First,he plays single. There's no risks for clashing.2nd,He got more than enough rackets. The only possibilty is that it's purely just too add head heaviness to his old at700.. What is that?Probably some special lead tape,or additional paint plus something else, since it's thick..unlike any other head protector i've seen before.
I'll guess it's just atheletic tape that's white. If it was lead tape painted white, then it'd be so heavy nobody could lift it.
I once did try adding lead tape to most of the frame on my W7 and i only got an extra 20mm on my BP so it isn't that hard. I don't think it is atheletic tape because it's too shiny to be tape.
If you think pros feel comfortable using racquets with 335mm+ balance points, you're wrong. Just cause pros are "pros", doesn't mean that some racquet specs which are too crazy for normal people to handle are the prefered specs of pros. Why do most pros use NS9000 in S, instead of X? I mean, they can swing it fast enough of course, but the X doesn't really work all of the time for them. And if Pros like racquets with insane head heaviness, how come so many are changing to ARC10, which is moderate balance? Thinking that pros can use racquets which are so extreme is just rediculous.
Interesting.Ur answer is preety different from most of us.R u an insider? So,if it's the medical tape..why would lin dan apply it?What's his purpose, since it won't add any weight to the head.
I'm sorry to make a mistake, here is the detail about the tape. Tungsten tape. 144mm long,10mm wide. made in Taiwan.
