I recently bought a AT900T from MyBadmintonStore with BG85 @24lbs. I love the colour of the string on this racket, it's a little purplish blue, I think it's the lavender.

But I have questions about their stringing quality/technique. The very last 2 rows of strings near the shaft are 1 row apart so there's a gap. Is this normal practice for certain stringing technique? Or was this an obvious mistake on their part?

I probably won't be hitting the bird at that missing row, but does this affect performance throughout the rest of the racket face? Should I get it restrung?

    Thanks in advance.

A number of stringers in Asia seem to do this, something to do with increasing the string-bed tension (?). I don't know the exact technical reason but I've used plenty of rackets with it and it never bothered me. The string bed does seem a tiny bit tighter with the missing string, but it really didn't effect me either way.

    It's just a stringing technique
