You could go to the sweetspot but they charge an arm and a leg. If you go to the royal glenora the head badminton pro strings rackets there.

sweet spot is not that bad if you supply your own strings. they charge $15 for the labor. otherwise you could join one of the clubs listed in edba.ab.ca, some of those clubs have their own stringers.
    good luck!

one caveat though on sweetspot, i've heard from quite a few people that they have had their racquets broken at sweetspot while stringing. personally i've had one racquet broken while being strung there, after that I string my own racquets

I have personally never had a problem with stringing at the sweetspot and the coach at glenora wang wen doesnt string rackets anymore, he's too busy.

    Hi folks,

I couldn't find the other longer thread about Edmonton stringers so I will post my question here. Just got back into badminton recently after a fairly long hiatus and realized that the Sweetspot had increased their stringing prices to $20 labor if we supply our own strings. Last time I used them it was still $15 for labor.

What other stringing options are there in Edmonton now besides the Sweetspot or the RG, DC, and RW clubs (which I think you have to be a member of anyway)? I can supply my own packs of string.

Are there any BF members on the board here that offer their personal stringing services? Is there anybody that frequents E-19 regularly and offers stringing service?

I do stringing for a couple of clubs but don't go to e19. I live in riverbend. I have a silent partner crump with wise head. I would charge $12 to string with your and $10 to string with mine.

    I have bg65, bg70pro, bg80, bg85, bg98, bg66um, ashaway mp, zm67 and zm62.

Why is it cheaper if you use your string?

because I put $2 markup on the string. still cheaper than anyone else in edmonton. for instance, stringing with bg65 would cost $17, sweet spot would be $28. bg98 would be $25 with me, $37 at sweet spot.

I play badminton for the love of it. Nothing else. Not looking to make any quick bucks out of it. I have strung some of my friends' rackets. Told them I'll only charge for the strings. None bother to pay cause I don't mind. If anyone around the Edmonton area desperately wants to have a string job done, let me know. I use the Wise 2086 Pro Tension Head.
