anTV sport program at midnight, must be Lensa Olahraga.

    Need confirmation here.
If this news is true, it's just plain crazy.

If i remember correctly Sutiyoso the head of PBSI said that badminton might be dropped by IOC in 2016 OG. This is due to popularity within the OG. He stated that currently badminton is fourth from the bottom on the list. So there u go.

They don't even know where it is held until next year and the voting is still to be held for which sports in or out.

"The 2016 Summer Olympic programme is scheduled to feature 26 sports and a total of 39 disciplines. There are two open spots for sports and seven sports are bidding for inclusion in the 2016 programme. Baseball and softball, which were dropped from the programme in 2005, as well as karate, squash, golf, roller sports and rugby sevens will apply. A new system was approved for deciding which sports will be included, now a sport needs a simple majority, before a two-thirds majority was required. Leaders of the seven sports will hold presentations in front of the IOC executive board in June 2009. The decision of which sports to include will be made at the 121st IOC Session in Copenhagen, the same session where the host city will be decided.[31]"
    (31. http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/news/story?id=3366295)

So I guess all sports from 2012 are safe and only two new sports will be added and none dropped if that's what they mean with "The same 26 sports on the London program will be put forward for 2016." (read the espn article).

Yea, I heard about it too. Badminton is even losing to beach volley (it's a new sport, dammit!)

    I don't know...
But why? Because badminton has risks of dropping out? That's weird. Maybe this is fake after all

That can't be right :S!? There's some absolutely ridiculous sports in the Olympics that I honestly can't understand why anyone would want to watch...

And as for Beach Volleyball, it's pretty obvious why people watch that, and I for one am really disappointed that it's an "Olympic Sport". If Badminton gets dropped ahead of Beach Volleyball (which I don't think it will), then I'll lose a lot of respect for the Olympic Games...

    This Must Stop Here

The original poster isn't clear about what he heard, where he heard it and whether he heard right.

And, yet, here we are... already discussing the bull's pregnancy
