Hi, new to the forum. Just curious that most Indonesian players, as far as I am aware, are Christian, who are a minority in the largest Muslim country. The only exception is Taufik. Please correct me if I am wrong. Are Indonesian Muslims not interested to be professional players? The same can be said of Malaysian players, who are mostly ethnic Chinese, again a minority group in Malaysia. Just wanted to know the reason for this, or am I mistaken?
Too many Indonesian Moslems are playing badminton. TH, Joko Riyadi, Sony, Hendra AG, Markis Kido, Rizal, Luluk, tommy sugiarto, Firdasari, Pia, Lita, Devin, Rian, Endang,Nova, Flandy,Yulianti, etc...are moslems I do not think it is necessary that religions are factors of playing badminton...
i do think that it is not necessary to discuss,,, there are no relevancy between religion and interesting of playing badminton,,,, because in my religion (moslem) there is no such a rule about playing badminton (it must or must not),,, i've ever seen nova using a christ necklace...is he a moslem???
Women are not supposed to show their legs in Muslim religion and men are are supposed cover their knees. That's why you don't see many women Muslim players from Malaysia and Indonosia. When Saina Mirza, a Indian Muslim Tennis player, played tennis around the world, the local Mullahs were demanding she should wear 'proper clothes'
Indonesia is a moderate Moslems country.....too many INA moslems women players wear the normal clothing just like everybody else...... Pls do not jump any conclusion that YOU DO NOT SEE WOMEN MOSLEM players from INA/Malaysia ....you just do not know their religions......they are there playing in all tournaments.... Lets not talk about this as it may escalate to unnecessary arguements.....
