my gut feel is D90 would be more popular than 50D

not really, the 50D is just minor refinement on the 40D.
Canon will have to out do D90.
Canon will be making a bigger improvement on the 60D

    the leak is 60D having:

    - 16MP in 18-bit RAW, every RAW file has 100MB size
    - 10fps
    - full HD video capability
    - not only full weather sealing but it´s waterproof
    - has an 5" LCD and a beamer
    - ISO 1,5-64000
    - viewfinder with 150 % coverage

    another leak is saying:

    18.1 mp
    - DIGIC V
    - 12 point AF, all cross-type
    - ISO 5O-6400, H1(12800), H2(25600)
    - 3.2 inch LCD monitor
    - 7 fps

I know, I was just making a fuss. Looking forward to the 60D, whenever it appears.

nikon d3/d700 already have 150% vf coverage if you shoot in dx-crop mode. canon will out-do nikon by having 160% vf coverage because their aps-c sensor is slightly smaller than nikon's :p:D

Canon is smart... i dont think they are wise to let the Whites convert to Black.
Later they will make more Blacks convert to Whites.

a few years back. nikon had produced some telephoto lenses in light grey/white color!
perhaps canon is gonna copy that idea! and make their long lenses in black within a short period of time!

Sony has as much expertise in making still cameras as Samsung has in making cigarettes ;)

Did you check out the prices of the Zeiss lenses? No IS in the lenses.

    The difference is minimised.

Yes. Older lenses fit and work but do they work as well as you want?

E.g. nikon lens - I bet only a small proportion of all nikon owners are actually using the manual lenses. Most will be using the DX lenses.. The ones making most noise are the discerning owners which may give a distorted impression of the popularity of older lenses.
