    Hi fellas,

I'm planning to buy a new stringing machine and learn how to string rackets. This will be my first machine and I prefer to get an electronic one and I am on tight budget:crying:. My choice is either:
    Eagnas Combo 3800
    http://www.eagnas.com/com3800.html
    or
Eagnas Combo 910 + Wise 2086 (as used by master Dink).
    http://www.eagnas.com/com910.html
Please give me comments if you have experience with 1 of those machines before.

I really need helps from the stringing experts as I am totally inexperienced. What are the other tools that I need to buy (ie. clamps, etc) and how many?

Thanks in advance for your replies. :D:)

I prefer 2 HQ floating clamps and 2 Yonex floating clamps. 2 HQ (with assist from 1 or 2 Yonex) are for mains, and 2 yonex are for cross.

Could you provide me with sites where I can buy those clamps cheaper? Is there any other tools that I may need apart from the clamps? Thanks.

Few questions for those who are using Wise 2086. What is the smallest increment can this machine handle? Could someone also explain to me what's the difference between rotational pull method (Combo 3800) and normal pull method (Wise 2086) please. What are the pros and cons? I also want to buy some rackets for stringing practice use. Are there rackets that are more suitable for practice? Thanks.

It doesn't seem you are tight, you are loose on the budget.
Seems like you didn't search enough, If you are serious about stringing, browse ALL the threads here and you will get exactly what you want here in great details.

Thanks LazyBuddy you have been very helpful. How about Grommet Replacement Tool, Grommet Grinder and String Bed Cutter? Would I need those tools? Can I just use normal scissor to cut strings?

    1) No, a nail cutter or exacto knife will do
    2) No, why do you need one?
    3) No, a pair of safety scissor will do the job for badminton.
    4) Good clamps are number 1.

Thanks for your reply. Few more questions. I'm about to string my AT700 that has few broken grommets. Can I just buy the Hi-Qua grommets pack from mybadmintonstore and use it on AT700? Or I must only use Yonex grommets?

If it fits. use generic. If it is long, cut it. Only thing you can not find is the AT grommets on the top. If you use generic grommet, it is OK, no noticeable difference. Only MP line need to use Yonex only grommet.

I would suggest buying a badminton 'pack' which normally consists of 6 different sizes.
That way, you don't need to worry about what size for what racket etc.
Then, when you run out of a particular size, you can just order some new ones to replace.
