As long as you are there before 1:00, you will be fine. But better be there at least 15 minutes earlier.
Some known good players make up the seeds. Others will fill the blanks. if you are not good played know by organizers, most probably you will play a good player in the first round, which is necessary not a bad thing. You end up in group C or D and have a chance to play more games.
That's probably the case for me.

How was this tournament? Were there lot of people? Who ended up winning by the way, my friend went to it for the finals day but I haven't talked to him after that. Who won? Any BC'ers?

Badminton Coach in Illinois
Hello again!
I just wanted to mention to everyone that I am now coaching in the Chicagoland area! I am available for private, semi-private, and group lessons. I am also available for clinics and demonstrations!
I spent last year coaching two adult teams in the Danish professional badminton league. I was happy to return to coaching the Eastern Illinois Junior Badminton Camp this year after being unable to for several years while I was training in California and Denmark! I am currently #2 in the USA in women's singles, and reached my highest international ranking ever this year at #69 in the world in women's singles.
If you're interested, feel free to contact me at admin@shannonpohl.com!

Just saw them...
(just my 3 sens worth)
...for pics taken mostly, if not all, by a 50mm lens, i would say they look good, esp. the action pics (i'm not sure if you know or not, but you can actually crank up the ISO setting on that 40D to 3200, i believe it's H on the setting).
I can sense, in some of the pics, the (range) limitation you had in using that lens, though.
*wonder if our master silentheart actually attended this tourney or not??..

I recognize..
..(after skimming through the pics again) i recognize the gentleman in pics 2, 3 & 11. I believe he's Korean and came to the World Championships in 2005 to help as one of the Liaison Officers. And if not mistaken, he's also a BC member; however, i don't recall his name from the top of my head.

Please pass my regards (from Chris) to him the next time you see him, alexkho!thanks-

*I am still looking for pic(s) of our other Chicago-based BC members DoublesPlayer and silentheart! If either or both are in the pics, could someone id them for us-thanks-
