Me and my friend want to buy rackets. RSL rackets to be exact. I am a beginner while my friend is an intermediate player, he trains me and well.... I did improve a lot. Now were on the part in which we wanna buy rackets that will suit our playing needs and as well have matching rackets. Since were about to play doubles in a school intramural. based on my choice. I go for Gold, PRO and X1 since i love to smash... and a lot. and for my friend. He loves net play, and chasing the shuttlecock. And loves a flexible racket So he really is into Blue and SP. The problem is we want to have a racket pair. Or lets say, the same in visual style. Or is it just impossible for different playing styles to have the same racket. I doubt a beginner can flex the shaft of X2 gold. X2 blue isn't flexible at all. What about other brands like Apacs, SOTX or Yonex?
i cant possibly afford yonex at all. and i bet i wont like the cheap ones either. the other brands you told me are not for sale in my place (province). and i've been using RSL Attack (pure black one) ever since from the start (just borrowed from a friend). and i'm wanting a hard hitting racket.
It's nearly impossible for you to both have a racket that is the same because you are a smasher so needs a stiff racket while your friend needs a flexible racket. Maybe you can buy 2 apacs rackets of ebay for $60USD
x2-ap is a good blend of defence and power very similar to ti-10 from Yonex. 7490 is also nice but I would say ap has a bit more power , 7490 better d by a tich. sp I found great for d or if your arm is tired but if you are smash happy not the way to go. woven 9 is up there too.
AP huh? how can it compare to RSL Millenium Attack 3200? since that's the racket i'm currently training with. XD do you know any racket that you may say an upgraded version of RSL Millenium Attack 3200?
im asking opinions about the x2-AP racket. since i don't have an idea on how it will work on a smasher like me, and who have grown up using stiff rackets. though my friend want x2-SP. (for himself)
For me AP is like an all-rounder racket. Middle stiff shaft and even balanced head. If you are looking for head heavy racket, for sure AP is not suitable for you.
I may go for X1... its cheaper here in our country than the X2 series. plus it is a head heavy racket...
