    Hi,

i found this too. Descibes my probably brillaintly.

Forces in the muscles on the front of the leg were lower than those forces seen during running (Harrison, Lees, McCullagh & Rowe, 1986) but larger in the muscles on the rear of the leg (especially hamstrings and gluteals). Mean forces of 17.5 times body weight were estimated in the gluteal muscles of the lunging leg in trained players; this would necessitate large eccentric contractions occurring here leading to the delayed onset muscle soreness commonly experienced by badminton players in this region of the body. A compliant (elastic) musculature in badminton players is therefore important to allow these high forces to be dissipated on landing and reduce the trauma on muscle fibres

couldn't do that to you babes - don't know you.... (yet!!)
however... I do know the good looks of my icon - they definitley take some beating... but then, he's about 34 years older than you (but doesn't look his age I must confess!!)

keep up the good work Matt, you'll make it in your own way...

After a smash one time, I felt a sharp pain in my neck, and couldn't move my neck at all. It's like a Charlie-horse, but for the neck muscle. At time, i thought i was paralyzed or something... scarry. Never thought i'd pull a neck msucle playing badminton. Does this happen to anyone else?

    I um
stretched a little too much and pulled something near my behind

I had to sit out and sit on a ice pack on a bench

it hurt bad but it felt better after half an hour.

I've seen worst. I saw someone going for a REALLY HARD Backhand smash before and he wacked his partner in the arm with his racket. The Racket shattered apart and the guy's who arm bruised
