    Hi guys!

It is true that if we a right-handed the grip should be wine clock-wise?
If so, how should it be start? From bottow or from top of handle?

BTW, yesterday l bought PRO ACE DREAM (RM150 around USD40).
Good racket for those who prefer light racket.
l'm a power smasher & need this type of racket for fast return of shuttles.

Also my favorite shop (in KL, M'sia) said this coming Oct'02.
    MP100 price will drop to RM399 (USD105)

never heard about a grip having to be applied in a different manner than from a left handed person...

    Long-grip

I saw a picture of this malaysian player, but I forgot about his name, his grip was almost up to his mid-part of his racket. Is this good or bad?

I was told by my regular racket stringer the same thing as well - when he noticed the way I wind my grip. Apparently it is more effective to have the grip wound in such a way that the wind direction is the same as your thumb direction. Hence if you are a right-hander, wind your grip clock-wise and vice-versa.

If you grab the racket with a standard grip the grip should be going upwards with your thumb.. actually no matter what way you wind the grip the end product is always the same isnt it... hmmmmmn ?

    Ismail,

But now u can also get MP100 for RM440 already. But if u r not in a hurry for a racket, then no harm waiting until Oct lah.

Btw, can u give me the phone number of that shop u mentioned?

    Do they have MP99?

Beside racket, anything else cheap there?

    Thanks in advance!
    Terima Kasih!

    ;)

Wrapping the grip in a counter-clockwise direction from the bottom only really applies if you are using a ribbed/ridged grip. That is, a grip that has a section raised so that your fingers can get a better grip. If you wrap it the other direction and you are right-handed, then your fingers will be clashing with the ridges.

Note that ribbed grips prevent you from effectively changing grip position. They also give me blisters, and usually cost more.
