Me too! Also..I got a suggestion!

    Cooler,

Me too!!!! How am I going to send you all those sexy photos of me playing badminton if you are not clearing all your messages..ooops! JUST KIDDING! AS IF! :p

Besides, I'll need all the latest digital enhancing technology to send any of those *giggle* :)

Kwun, Cheung, I think it would be a good idea to put in a new feature where you can BEEP someone if they're on line and you want to get their attention..maybe like BEEP them with a very short pager type message..say, not more than 15 words?

    How's that?

by the way, the pm window will pop-up only if the user set it so.

OOPS, I did it again - Sorry

Hello people, so it was me the culprit who was too lazy to erase old messages in PM. I thought kwun have unlimited hard drive space so what's a little few kB of texts here and there. Somebody should slap me for this

Kwun, what is the maximum messages allowed to be carried inside PM? or is it limited by maximum bit size allocation?

    I'm pleading ignorance..

*grin* doh! Sorry, didn't realise they're different..okey, but now I got two more questions..(sorry newbie syndrome)..:

    1) How do you 'PM' someone so it beeps on their screen? i.e how do I do it? I mean, you're not talking about Pm-ing as in composing a new msg to them? Coz, that still won't work if that receipient's mailbox is full, right?

    2) Nic, how do you go about setting it up so that the PM window will pop up? Whenever, someone's sent me a new PM and it's sitting in my mail and when I log on to the forum it pops up and let me know there's a new msg there..does that mean I'm set up? Or is this a different kidn of pop up you're talking about?

    *sniff, sniff*

    A confused kiwi chick! :(

    Re: I'm pleading ignorance..

    Adelina,

1)click on the user ID, then choose either to email or pm him/her. not everyone set to receive pm and not everyone set to pop-up a window upon the pm arrival though.

2)click on the "user cp" tab on top of this page, then select YES at the Pop up a box when you receive a Private Message? option.
I never set this option to YES before, so, I cant tell you exactly how it works, but assuming you are right. :)

    hope this help.

The PM pop-up works only when the user specified it in his or her profile as per Nic's instruction. After that, one has to be actively surfing badmintonforum in order for the PM pop-up to work, for example: pressing F5 (refresh screen), back, forward, or clicking on any active field. The pop-up will not work if badmintonforum is left idle. Hope this helps :)

    PM mailbox is ok now

adelina, thanks for your request but i'm ok now. My oversight was due to making deletion of PM for the last 5 days. I didn't check or click on PM of weeks and months ago to delete the rest. Thanks to all for your patience.

Thank you Kwun. You really shouldn't have. 70 PM is sufficient if i had also deleted stuffs beyond the default of 5 days, both inbox and sent box but if 100 PM it is, i thank you.
