    WS:
Wang Yihan vs Tine Rasmussen - Tine too smart for pretty Chinese girl
Lu Lan vs Zhou Mi - Veteran ZM to set up repeat of Singapore Open final

    MS:
Kenichi Tago vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro - Home support might not be enough for Japanese youngster
Lee Chong Wei vs Joachim Persson - LCW still too good despite not being in the best form

    WD:
Maeda/Suetsuna vs Cheng/Zhao - CHN youngsters will exploit Japanese pair's fatigue
Wong/Chin vs Vita/Lilyana - INA to take this home, MAS pair need to cut down mistakes to have a fighting chance

    MD
Matsuda/Ohtsuka vs Rasmussen/Paaske - BC's resident forummers have too much quality
Rian/Yonatan vs Bona/Ahsan - Dunno, really. I will give it to the former for beating reigning Olympic and World Champs.

    XD:
Nova/Lilyana vs Yoo/Kim - World Champs might struggle a bit
Songphon/Kunchala vs Rijal/Vita - Thais will make this an international final

    List of players in action..

WD Eei Hui CHIN & Pei Tty WONG [MAS] [4] - [INA] Vita MARISSA & Liliyana NATSIR [2]
    ========================================================
Overall view: A lot of new players/pairs will be competing in this yr's edition.

MS - LCW is set to advance and perhaps defend his MS title.
WS - The CHN's WS squad's threat, in Tine, is back. Can she go all the way and defend her title?
MD - Too bad Tony & Candra won't be able to continue and defend their Japan Open title. Perhaps it'll be our JR & LP??
WD - Is there a new CHN WD on the rise??
XD - Possible all-INA affair in the Finals. This time with only Vita being able to defend the XD title (she won the title with Flandy last yr).

    3rd anniversary??..

..well, not every year, but yes, she has won the Japan Open XD title twice before; she won in 2004 (with Nova, just before her long bout with an injury) & 2006 (with Flandy)..;)..If she does win this yr, again, i think a nickname for her should be in order, "The Biennial Japan Open XD Specialist"..;)
Btw, typo on my part, it should've been "she won the title with Flandy in 2006"
