Nova WIDIANTO / Liliyana NATSIR [1] [INA] - [INA] Muhammad RIJAL / Vita MARISSA [5] - established pair hold all the keys

    WS
ZHOU Mi [7] [HKG] - [CHN] WANG Yihan - CHN junior will bow to her predecessor

    MS
LEE Chong Wei [1] [MAS] - [INA] Sony DWI KUNCORO [2] - World No 1 to take it, with more difficulty than the Olympic q-final match

    MD
Muhammad AHSAN / Bona SEPTANO [INA] - [DEN] Lars PAASKE / Jonas RASMUSSEN [2] - BC resident forummers don't need coaches to nail this one

    WD
CHENG Shu / ZHAO Yunlei[CHN] - [MAS] CHIN Eei Hui / WONG Pei Tty [4] - 50-50 match. CHN girls have advantage on physique and stamina, MAS girls more streetsmart.

    MEN'S SINGLES
Lee Chong Wei [1] vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro [2] -- the expected lineup for the Final match...with the World No 1 retaining his Japan Open title.

    MEN'S DOUBLES
Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan vs Lars Paaske/Jonas Rasmussen [2] -- the Danish pair has the experience and edge to win their FIRST Super Series title, but, I am hoping for an upset here. Another heart-break perhaps at the last hurdle for our Danish BC-resident?

    WOMEN'S SINGLES
Zhou Mi [7] vs Wang Yihan -- Zhou to take the title!

    WOMEN'S DOUBLES
    Cheng Shu/Zhao Yunlei
vs Wong Pei Tty/Chin Ee Hui [4] -- I am predicting an upset here, with the young CHN pair prevailing.

    MIXED DOUBLES
    Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir
[1] vs Mohd Rijal/Vita Marissa [5] -- the World Champion to walk away with the long-awaited Japan Open title.

So happy to see Misbun waving his hand to us when we shout "Misbun Boleh!"

Bona/Ahsan's progress is nothing short of tremendous. I saw them play earlier in the year and was not too impressed. But now they are looking like they have paired together for years.

CEH/WPT are moving up in their World Rankings again

    .
It was unfortunate that when CEH/WPT were moving up in their World Rankings in the past year, injuries started to creep in. This time we hope that they will move into the Top 10 again; and stay there for a longer period of time, without injuries.
