Split Tensions
Hi everyone,
I've been lurking the forums for awhile but this is my first post.
Firstly I'd like to thank everyone for assistance in selecting my new racket. I snapped strings on my two of my beloved 15 year old rackets and thought it was a good time to get a new one -> AT900T was my final choice afte reading the forum's advice.
Anyway, some of the players I play with and some people of this forum do cross tension higher than main. Can anyone explain why?
If I like to play at 23 lb then would i do 22m/24x?
I haven't been able to find a satisfactory answer.
Sorry if it's already in the forums, I've searched but not sure exactly what to search for.
thanks in advance

If you look in the Stringing Techniques & Tools section there is plenty of discussion about why cross tension is higher than main tension
