Need a Durable, defensive racquet
I purchased a Prince Y frame triple threat racquet and played with it for the first time last night. The racquet is/was perfect for the type of style I wanted to incorparate into my game (more defensive/clearing shots, shorts and drop shots) etc but after only 25 minutes of playing the shaft broke on me (from the handle) whilst doing a smash
It shocked me a bit as my doubles oppenent had to duck as the head flew towards him as some speed, luckily no one injured, just a broken racquet
I had to go back to my trusted Carlton AS1 to complete the match
Has any one got any recommmandations for durable, defensive racquets please, I do have quite a strong smash
The company I purchased it from will accept it back for a new replacement racquet

Karakal M-Tec 80
The standard is headlite and still has strong smash....The tattoo model is my favorite and I have never had a better defensive racket...80 gram frame weight....67.5cm long 8.5 stiffness of shaft and can be bought in 28.5 balance point or 29.0....cost is 85usd for M-Tec 80 and 100 usd for Tattoo....They all have a 6 month warranty if bought from Gia Dinh Sports..

So you are defensive player correct? You can have a look at SOTX Woven 2, Woven 5, Woven 8 and Woven 9 from Puppysports.

My 2 cents for Karakal (M-tec 70). I destroyed a Wilson something or other in a clash. Not a scratch/ding/dent on my frame. His racquet head split clean apart around 9 o'clock position. I was doing a backhand drop and he was going for a forehand smash.
