Soccer at elementary school. Volleyball at junior high. Basketball at high school. Tennis, badminton and table tennis since then, and golf and football once a while.

Table tennis, basketball, hockey, tennis and football ('soccer' ) during my secondary school years. My mother used to comment to my brother that I am almost always never home during the afternoon.

At least she's happy that I got down and dirty playing sports instead of mixing with the wrong crew doing the wrong things.

I go running and biking and I work out at the gym from time to time. I also practise martial arts, but it's more of a skill than it is a sport. I like badminton the best though, and I play it most often.

yeah, badminton starts off as merely an activity to do outside the house with my friends.

i am lucky to have been ablde to experience some of this. i live in a village with my grandfather and i cycled, climb trees (but not often cause no suitable trees to climd around), played rounders, police and thief, marbles, catch spiders and guppies, flying kite, congkak etc etc....my friends are mostly guys. swimming is only done in the river when we go for picnics at the waterfall. i hate swimming in the ocean though because i always get badly sunburned.

then after university days, i went home to my hometown (not the village where i grew up but my mother's place) and realize that i dont have any friends there since all my friends are people i meet in boarding school and university. so for seven years i dont play any sports. i hate running so that is out of the question (because it is all exercise and not playing), i dont know how to swim properly and never set foot in a swimming pool and unless you consider board games as a sport, then i was totally not doing sport for 7 years. but i love to watch sports. all types. except for some that i dont understand like cricket, wrestling (some call it a sport, i see it as a stage play), and a few others.

now however, i have found a group to play badminton with and i am happy. i love sports and i like to play but mostly i am just a mediocre player. jack of all trades, master of none.
