hmm,for me
we don't have to forgeting taufik , he was a good player
and because of him, indonesia can get gold medal at athena olympiade
and we must consider about that
he just an ordinary people,same like us.

I agree with Ardhitya...
Even Taufik gave us gold olympic medal, but he can't do that..
he can't be arrogant....
It's a kind of "punishment" for him if ppl want to forget him....

Even though he got almost all title; but he can't act like nw... Playing w/o motivation...
He need to know how much money spend into him to send him for a tourney.....
If he really don't have motivation anymore, better for him to retired now, no need to wait for next year....
Give others chances, like tommy, alamsyah, etc....

Actually, one strong player that have been lurking around in tournaments, and we people not noticing is Chen Hong.

He should be given more credit as well. He is Great once, and still GREAT!

that i have to agree.
all soni did this week was beatng a burnout lcw and a bronze medalist.
BCL is also tired from the olympic. Commentators said bcl was making alot of unforced errors against soni.

I agree that TH's era is near the end, however his participation in any SS tournament will be good for the tournament.

It is high time that Sony took over TH's position as the No. 1 shuttler in Indonesia and have Simon promoted to the second one, so in the Thomas Cup line-up in 2010 will be Sony, Simon and Taufik.

If the trend continues towards 2010, Indonesia's chance of winning the Thomas Cup is bigger than 2008

..with the sudden upsurge of Sony (catalyzed by his back-to-back-to back-hop-skipping-the Olympics SS wins), now everyone, if not most, will be expecting Sony to reach the Semifinals or Finals round of any future tourneys he attends. Anything short (w/o any injuries) of reaching either of those rounds would be considered a big disappointment...

Sony is getting very fast. I think he beat Chen Jin and Bao Chun Lai based on his speed. I think Lee Chong Wei also lost to Sony becoz of Sony's greater speed in Japan Open, (but maybe in that time and space) LCW is not 100% fit, then again, the badminton gods now favor Mr. Kuncoro.
