I will be in the San Diego area October 4-11th and then in the Los Angeles area from 12th - 17th and am itching to play.

I've found a few places in SD, but not sure which ones would be better. Given I'm just getting back into playing after the summer, I'd say I'm an upper B/lower A player at the moment with rust falling off as we go.

I have my eye at playing OCBC if Dinkalot or some others are looking to play ( to see us two brutes on the court?) and drop is available as it isn't that far from where I'm staying in Anahiem.

I'll also have to buy shuttles as mine will all be too slow.

Come to Mar vista...we play monday and wednesdays from 7 - 10pm. Cost is $5 and shuttles are free. We need some higher level players...lately its been an amateur fest.

    Pre-welcoming..

    ..ViningWolff to SoCal.
For San Diego area, hope these links will help you:)..Balboa Park seems to be the popular one:

    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45033
    http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7069(has schedules)

Do stop by @ SGVBC, if you can (yes, DinkAlot is the best bet to get in touch with)

For OCBC, you may want to contact Vtec101 (i heard he's a regular there);)
*One note for playing @ OCBC: you may have to buy OCBC's shuttles. If you don't want to, you have to bring/use one of the tournament grade shuttles.

Thanks for the info. I'll check out Mar Vista for sure. If I have to I'll drive up to SBVBC, though OCBC is certaily closer. Probably thursday the 16th.

I normally stock several tubes of sea level tounrey shuttles for my trips to Vancouver, but seem to be out.

    1) No worries about the shuttles, I have plenty. :D

    2) I can play at both OCBC and SGVBC, your timing will be ideal as I will be moving October 18-20.

    3) Please just advise when you want to play and I can arrange everything, just e-mail me.

The plan is to to checkout mar Vista on Wednesday. Monday is my oldest son's birthday - after legoland it'll be dinner somewhere late.

I'm thinking 16th SGV as that seems to be where most forum types hang out.

Dink will send e-mail with phone info. I'm on the road as of tomorrow afternoon and probaly without e-mail

Sorry never made it to MAr Vista, Borther in law showed up and plans went sideways. We didn;t get to the hotel until 9:30 pm.

My one and only badminton night will be tonight at SGVBC at 8pm.

Panda and Wolff on the same court!!!

I reserved Court # 7 for 3 hours tonight from 8-11pm. When you come in, it's just behind Center Court (Court # 4). :)

There's no need, look at what happened yesterday on a dink smash... :p

In defense of the racket below (AMP95), it lasted longer than just about any other racket I've tried. :)
