Fleet Woven 888. Got in in Taipei. Build quality is good, solid looking and feel. Slightly head heavy (bp~292 to 294mm), light (about 86gms). will post some pics when i get back.
Fleet woven racket Hi wocdam, How about Fleet woven 999? Did u try this racket? How much it costs over in Taipei? Thanks. Lee
it's priced at NT2600 (w string, grip and a 3 racket bag). about SGD120. i tried to find the Woven 999, apparently it's out of stock here. Lee, you interested?
what would you compare the performance of the racquet to? i'm keen to know how it compares to the yonexes.
sad to say, i'm still in taipei. no chance to try it out yet. probably i will get to try it only this Sunday. but like i mentioned, the build quality is good, on par with Victor (or maybe slightly better). hopefully, this will be one good buy. i will try to post some photos, but the quality of the pics may not be good, as i have only a camera phone with me.
Here as promised, some pics of the rackets. sorry about the quality of some of the pics. as you can see from the last photo, the frame section is triangular. swinging the racket produces slightly less drag than the diamond section of Victor Superwaves.
A very nice looking racquet ! Agree with your assessment of Victor Superwave, it doesn't feel very aerodynamic when you swing it, most likely due to the box design of the frame. Maybe that's why for the new Brave Sword series, it has a more aerodynamic design.
i'm not sure if the whole racket is made of woven, but the look of the racket seems to say so. as for the review, unless i get an invite to play at NTUT, i'll only be able to use the racket on Sunday earliest. so hold your horses people. anyway, i'll be in Taipei for the next 3 days, so I may still be able to get some stuff from here to bring back.
wau, tat's a good price. from where i hav asked(johor n kl), rm350 for racket oni. looking forward to ur review. tat racket giv me a good feel but it's a bit overpriced here, i think
i think fleet is quite hard to get in singapore. I think the quality is as good as Victor, Carlton etc. Maybe there isn't a market in SG, as most people only knows YY
I agree. There's not much brand variety in singapore. Just head down to any sports retail shops in the malls and the only racquets you see are yonex and wilson. These retail stores cater to majority of players who are mostly leisure players.
I have seen Fleet racquets before in Singapore, there's one badminton shop at Eastpoint mall in Simei that sells Fleet. Another shop is at Queensway, 2nd level.
I see, the one at eastpoint older guy whereas the one at queensway younger. The shop at eastpoint carry some unique brand like dunlop and fischer. Another shop that carrys the not so famous brand is at CDANs, in fact, he was selling the new range of Fischer racquet before it become popular and you can find it in many shops nowadays.
